Creating this thread to discuss about AI, new technologies, different tools you are using, your insights on what you are using at your work or outside, etc.

The goal is to share our knowledge and bring like minded people together away from all the other junk threads..

plz keep the discussions limited to the title..

Its important to understand how and where we can use AI to enhance our skill set.

Core AI/ML is difficult. I would place myself around agentic AI and learn more about what jargon and what all is available and how we can use them to quickly build solutions for the organization.

Otherwise we will be lost.

I already posted a couple of use-cases that I worked on which were really good ones.

I agree. Browsing through these kind of libraries will also give us idea on how other people are thinking to.

This is what I presented. We did a couple more, which I can't talk.

Targeted Marketing -> Many companies run campaigns for their products. They use a combination of tools like Marketo and Salesforce. Most of the times these are not sent to the right people, and most people delete them and might even add them to junk, increasing the junk rating for the company email and flagging it when sent to others.

How do we avoid this? How to do Targeted marketing?

Validate if the sales contact is right. Check if the person works for that particular company via LinkedIn. Let's say you are running a campaign for a particular product, and you read the description of the product from product profile pages or brochures, etc. Profile the targeted salespeople based on thier Job description on LinkedIn. See if it's a match. Send the campaign only if it's a match.

Once you run the targeted campaign, check if it's improving overall response. Note the ones who responded. Go to LinkedIn API and find similar profiles from other companies (I don't know how ethical this is. Need to set boundaries. Check with legal team). Even in the worst case, get similar profiles from your customers.

This should improve the response to overall campaigns.

I think targeted marketing is highly overrated. I never bought anything because I got an email from someone or I saw an ad on social media on TV. Maybe I’m a bit old school.

I attend a lot of conferences where I meet a lot of product people. They get my contact from LinkedIn and send me a lot of emails asking me to try their products. Honestly, I never liked any of them because they hardly support what they boasted in their ads or on their websites ..

if I am in a position to make any budget decisions on trying new products I won’t buy from someone who sent me a target email… ee madhya oka Unified API product try chesaamu.. 2 months time bokka..

Different for other industries like Pharma. If you are selling to a university or a hospital, there might be others in there with different profiles that might be interested in the products the company sells.

Right.. this happens only if you have an existing relationship.. for us, most of our sales happen through our resellers who sell our products to their customers..

point is to make the process more efficient and get better results. They are using these methods coz they have success with it. Targeted marketing will get better results.
