Sibling in India

Featured Replies

How much you owe them as a sibling? He has taken the fathers responsibility. What we earn here unless both wife and husband works, you don't save anything. Opinions pls.

adjustment and empathy

mee parents ki moral support ivvu

mee bro financially good vunte ok otherwise help him with what you think you can adjust

if nothing is possible it’s ok they will adjust to the situation and they will understand your situation, all you do is treat them nice and be empathetic

as the time goes by things will change and become better or worse but you all will stay together and strong

Have been helping my family for over 14 years now. The mindset of the people in India has changed. NRI ante they only think we are all rich. No matter how well you try to convince your situation. More than 2 cr debts clear chesa and monthly 1 lakh expenses. There should be limit kada. Now asking for surgery for 2-3 cr loan for business

People in India have become very greedy including own parents and siblings.. Even if you tell u have millions of Debt here no one will care or listen best is to draw a line after certain time in life say u are done with financial responsibility some parents may even send u legal notice etc.. But we need to man up and take care of yourself and family here.. No other way.. I am telling this after going through similar situation as you.. Learned lesson in a very hard way

Anyone migrating to USA in future I tell them even u get 80% value sell everything and come here because if someone may take care of your property there in short term but long term ur own people may turn against u.. Best is clear everything don't keep a financial relationship with family.. Support them for their monthly expenses and medical that's the only thing NRI should do.. It's hard people will think about NRI as selfish but it's best for peace for mind in long term
