Norway leads the world, with over 90% of new car sales being electric, aiming for 100% by 2025. Sad countries continue to buy petrol and deisel as the people are idiots.

May 6May 6 Author India has approved a ₹7,280 crore scheme (approximately $800+ million) to promote domestic manufacturing of rare earth permanent magnets (REPMs). This includes ₹6,450 crore in sales-linked incentives over five years and ₹750 crore in capital subsidies for setting up 6,000 MTPA capacity, aiming to break China's dominance and secure supplies for electric vehicles and defense.India is aggressively pushing electric vehicle (EV) adoption to reach 30% private car and 80% two/three-wheeler sales by 2030, supported by the PM E-DRIVE scheme (running to March 2028). Key support includes up-front purchase incentives for EVs, massive investments in charging infrastructure (12,000+ chargers), and production-linked incentives (PLI) for manufacturing EVs and batteries. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]Key EV Support Mechanisms in India:PM E-DRIVE Scheme (2024-2028): Replaces earlier FAME schemes, focusing on:Subsidies: Immediate purchase incentives for electric two-wheelers (e-2W), three-wheelers (e-3W), and e-ambulances/trucks.Charging Infrastructure: Large-scale funding to deploy thousands of public charging stations.Production Linked Incentives (PLI): A total of ₹25,938 crores is allocated to promote domestic manufacturing of EVs and Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) batteries, reducing dependence on imports.State-Specific Policies: 18 out of 28 states have implemented localized EV policies to offer additional incentives, including registration fee exemptions and road tax waivers.Charging Infrastructure Expansion: Initiatives like the EV Mitra Scheme 2025 offer subsidies for individuals and businesses to set up charging stations, aiming for a robust, accessible network.Infrastructure Support: As of early 2026, government-backed infrastructure has supported the installation of over 12,000 public chargers, with efforts heavily focused on expanding this network, according to.Battery Safety and Technology: The government has introduced stricter battery safety standards to ensure reliability and safety. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8]Key Focus Areas for 2026-2030:Fleet Electrification: Strong emphasis on electrifying public transit (buses) and commercial vehicles (delivery, freight).Battery Recycling: New initiatives, including partnerships with the European Union, are focusing on a circular economy for EV batteries.Retrofitting: Promotion of retrofitting kits to convert existing internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to electric, as noted by.

While the idiots happily gang up.There are people who agree and at the same time see the nonsense spewed out by the other person. Why isn't that idiot confronted?I have been losing my patience confronting at every place. I confronted and complained about my manager when he was doing unethical practices. And I got targetted because everyone else keep quiet in meetings and then say that I have done the right thing offline. But I didn't care and took him on and made things miserable for him. While others were all suffering quietly and working extra hours, doing nights and weekends. He got demoted eventually because of me. But I was all alone throughout that fight and many others were giving me free gyan about diplomacy. This "diplomacy" route that they chose was costing them their family time and health. I am glad that many others got saved but the issue is that everywhere I go, similar environment exists. If you take the idiots on this forum, they gladly support each other. So, instead of telling me, you might want to introspect.

Don't get distracted by others before you change.Be the change you want to see.I have made the jump....done multiple solar installations and shifted to EV.Next step would be educating others. Even driving around an EV subconsiously starts impacting others. The most important Question is ... Are YOU willing to make that change?

Scandinavian countries have a lot to learn, not just EV adoption, their civic sense or responsibility towards society, let alone Indians even US or Canadians take some 100 yrs to match. one such experience is of Akash Banerjee, he mentioned in his Youtube video too. https://www.indiatoday.in/trending-news/story/akash-banerjee-wife-stranded-norway-hike-volunteers-rescue-viral-instagram-post-2733553-2025-05-31
