Crossroads - Career, Immigration, Finances

Guys,

It's time everyone looks at their situation from immigration POV, Job POV due to AI, financial POV, and everyone is at a crossroads to think about their and their family's future. It's time to have a plan A, plan B, and plan C.

  • Don't assume things regarding immigration - Plan a life both if Immigration is successful and non-successful.

  • Everyone will have an impact of AI on their jobs. Some sooner, some later. Think of how to prolong your career. Instead of getting depressed, spend some time online on YouTube, talk to your peers, leadership, and friends from other companies about what they are doing.

  • Review your financial situation. If you have given some loans to your friends/family, plan to get them back. Keep some cash aside for a crisis or a 6-month layoff expenses.

  • It's time to GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE and start thinking about alternative income. I believe everyone has some talent or a sweet spot. Find out what it is and figure out how to make money out of it. Have a plan for both India and the US.

At the end of the day, family is everything for us. Do not let this affect your family. Spend a good time with kids, wife, and parents. Be nice to everyone. Do not show your stress or pass it on to others in your family.

Me in the UK, when I am out of contracts am doing Amazon deliveries to keep paying bills… so credit card dues will not pile up.

Education and health care 100% free so not much worries

90% Telugu marriages are like that

Urgent 🚨 H1b layoff and one kid with special needs can’t go back to india that’s not an option

Hi Everyone I am seeking help here to help my husband find a job I have 2 kids boys one is with special needs and other one is easy to manage and I don’t work because they are very young 4 and 2.

I beg each and every one in the group to please let me know if anyone is hiring or having some referral we have been trying from last one month no calls at all bare minimum we have received calls but not taking it further. either the position goes on hold or no update

I am looking for some help please please help us

I just saw in Indian expats

...

This is a very sad post.

I expect to see more posts like this in the future, given the current circumstances.

I really don't understand how people can be so foolish.

During 2016-2020, trailers were played by the current administration, and this trend is likely to continue, especially as people become less proactive and tend to blame the government for their problems.

This week another case. someone from nearby community attempted suicide. there might be deep personal issues... but outside people know it is tied to immigration + big house + lost 1 income.
