They're British citizens. The problem here is slightly nuanced. One, the victims can't themselves file a case in the UK as they themselves are seeking backdoor methods. It would be hard for them not be implicated during the course of the trial in the British courts. Typically an employee doesn't pay for any of the stuff they claim they paid for. The paper trail is hard to establish as these guys moved monies into pr0xy accounts. They didnt even pay to the Jargarlamudi's business account.

Also, typically British courts don't extradite their citizens easily. Even fighting the case legally in UK and even in India is a cash burning and time consuming affair with hardly meaningful gains for the victims. It appears they're trying to force Jagarlamudi to reach some sort of settlement. But the guys is criminally shrewd and will be a tough catch.
