Usually, Telugu movies are never short of being grandiose, but Shakti seems to break that benchmark, with some sets appearing only in a few scenes, being erected spending a couple of crores, and scenes being filmed across Africa and Europe. Shakti even outsourced its re-recording to Czechoslovakia, which clearly implied that producer Aswani Dutt prioritised quality over costs. Shakti sources inform that Aswani has also decided to make a grand release of the movie in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. For this, Dutt had decided to dub the movie in Tamil and make 200 prints for its release in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Tamil Nadu has a sizable Telugu population, while Kerala has an exclusive fan base for dubbed Tollywood movies. The craze for Tollywood movies is so high that Allu Arjun is even considered a home star. The box office predictions for Shakti says the movie would gross 25 crores in its debut week. All this would be revealed at the grand opening of Shakti on March 31st.
