Both countries will work together to improve health services and to strengthen bilateral ties in health sector.At the 18th Executive Committee meeting of Partners in Population Development (PPD) held on June 23 and 24, the health ministers of both nations have decided to take forward the agenda of population development and boost south-south cooperation.Partners in Population Development (PPD) is an inter-governmental initiative started for expanding and improving South-to-South collaboration in reproductive health, population and development. A new governance Charter of the initiative has been adopted and the executive committee has also prepared the draft of strategic business plan for 2012-14.PPD is chaired by India over the last three years, was represented by health minister Gulam Nabi Azad, while its deputy chair China, was epresented by China's minister for national population and head of the family planning commission Li Bin.
