10-year-old boy as deprived of water for a period of five days in Dallas

Dallas police have arrested the father and stepmother of a 10-year-old boy who died of dehydration last month.

Johnathan James died July 25 after he was found unresponsive in his home.

Police said Thursday that the boy's father and stepmother, Michael James and Tina Alberson, punished the 10-year-old by not allowing him to drink anything.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner determined that [b]Johnathan was deprived of water for a period of five days before he collapsed and died.[/b]
