ravana Posted November 25, 2013 Author Report Posted November 25, 2013 As soon as you see something, you already start to intellectualize it. As soon as you intellectualize something, it is no longer what you saw. ~ Shunryu Suzuki Roshi
Avataar Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 A scorpion was fighting for its life in the water of a flowing river. A sage saw this and picked up the scorpion on a leaf. The scorpion was saved but in return it bit the sage and again fell into the river. The sage again saved it and it again bit the sage. This went on for a very long time. A passer by who was looking at this asked the sage , If the scorpion is biting you again and again , why are you saving its life? The sage said, " The scorpion is doing its job and I am doing mine! The moral of the story is : If you help an innocent looking person, do not be surprised if that person bites you. The scorpions look very innocent these days ! bl@st
