ARYA
India is home to over 33 crore gods, each of whom stand for some virtue or the other. The Hindu god Ganesha is known as the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. Every year during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh, devout followers of Ganesha bring home their favourite god with great cheer. You may also have seen huge groups with life sized idols of the God dancing to the tunes of 'bhajans' as Ganesha arrives in their homes for a few days. A few enthusiastic lovers of Lord Ganesha created these idols out of vegetables, bottles, and cashew nuts! You won't believe it but Ganpati is also seen as Spiderman and playing cricket! You definitely didn't see this side of your favourite God before. A Ganpati idol made entirely of cashew nuts.
