mtkr Posted February 16, 2015 Author Report Posted February 16, 2015 Quotes "Whether you beat Sri Lanka or Scotland, you still get the same amount of points in this World Cup. We're not good enough to take any team for granted." Brendon McCullum "Grant Bradburn has got huge experience with playing in New Zealand and coached probably a lot of the guys in that New Zealand team. He's given us some valuable insights in our preparation for the game tomorrow."Preston Mommsen on the advantages of having a New Zealand coach in Bradburn

mtkr Posted February 16, 2015 Author Report Posted February 16, 2015 Brendon McCullum The skipper of the New Zealand side has not only batted well for his team, but has also led from the front and has proved to be a smart captain. Whether it is setting the field and backing his bowlers, or planning for a game, McCullum has found the bull’s eye. The Kiwis will be looking for a solid knock from him at the top. Kane Williamson The young all-rounder has been in tremendous form and has scored 50 plus runs in 13 out of the last 17 outings for New Zealand. He will be expected to once again steer the middle order for the Black Caps. Trent Boult The left-arm pacer has been breathing fire and has been swinging the ball both ways. The way he got Sangakkara and Thirumanne in the last game shows he can bowl some deadly Yorkers too. He will be looking for some early breakthroughs. Kyle Coetzer The veteran Scottish all-rounder and former captain has been in good form of late with the bat. Although he can also chip in with the ball and bowl some overs. Mathew Machan Matt Machan has been described as the ‘Scottish David Warner’ for his short stature and similar style of play as the Aussie. With a batting average of 36 and a decent strike rate of 76, this 24-year old will be shouldering the responsibility to give the Scotts a good start. Calum MacLeod 26-year old MacLeod has been among the runs in his last couple of matches for Scotland, and with 2 ODI centuries already under his belt, the 26-year old will be trying to get another big score against a strong opposition.
