ganga is not wife of shiva.....its a false story created by people.....no were in vedas it is written that she is wife.........lord shiva likes onky 4 things which are kasi parvati ganga and other i forgot,,,,,,it is said in that vedas that shiva has 4 wives which are parvathi ganga varnasi and one other,,,,,so people made statements that ganga is the wife...
