UNITED99 Posted September 16, 2015 Report Posted September 16, 2015 09/12/2015: Growing Government Shut-Down Threat on Planned Parenthood Funding Fight and Areas of Immigration Proceedings That Should be Affected Report indicates that the Congress may not be able to pass the next fiscal years budget before Octobere 1, 2015 because of the fight on Planned Parenthood funding matters. Planned Parenthood defunding forces appear to be very firm in this fight in the House, potentially causing shut-down of the federal government effective October 1, 2015. Past history of the federal government shut-down indicates that operation of the fee-fund government agencies are minimally affected during the period of government shut-down. Accordingly the immigration proceedings before the USCIS and passport and visa application proceedings with the U.S. Department of State may not be seriously crippled. It would be a different story for the U.S. Department of Labor. Most of the services of the Department would remain closed during the period of government shut-down. For the reasons, employers and stakeholders should be on alert and start taking care of the legal proceedings before October 1. Such proceedings include labor condition application and other temporary labor certification applications such as H-1B, H-2B, H-2A, etc., prevailing wage determination requests, PERM applications, among others. Sometimes, the USCIS accomodated the emergencies and accepted certain nonimmigrant applications without the certified temporary labor certification applications during such emergencies, but it is not guaranteed. Employers may as well take care of such temporarory labor certification applications including labor condition application for H-1B before the potential government shutdown. Apply cheyataniki ICERT website kuda down undidhi anukunta not sure. Labor condition application for GC kuda before OCT 2015 cheyyadam better ah ?
