harshakudaravally Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 It is not uncommon to see a 30-year-old Indian fear his dad. The Indian parents are known to be strict parents and for years they've had their say in the decisions made by their children. Marrying someone we love is a huge decision to make. Most of us expect our parents to be part of the decision and support us to have a peaceful wedding. But Indian parents have a huge part to play in marriages and more often than not, they bring in the issue of caste, religion and all other bull crap. They end up making the big decisions their children have to make. In the process, they are living the lives of their children. This process continues for the next generation and is never ending. The children get to live their lives only after they have their own children. Until then, they have to live according to wishes and wants of the seniors. Will this ever change? Will children ever get to live their lives? Will parents ever realize that children have the right to choose the lives they prefer?
wildcat Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 I think in opposite way .....ther should be control by parents.........once a jamican lady hitting his boy in streets (usa) suddenly a cops came and warned that lady ...for that jamican lady simply mention that "If i dont warn him today he will end up in your hand " by that statement i can say its better to control by parents then a police man..........In India there less crime rate than Americans and for that reason a control parents ... any way this is my answer
