Minister for Major Irrigation T. Harish Rao said that if complete, Mallannasagar project will give water to agriculture in 1,100 villages in Medak, Nalgonda and Nizamabad districts.

Tending to open gatherings subsequent to taking an interest in a few authority programmes at Jangampally and Kamareddy on Friday, he said that the government had undertaken an ambitious programme of providing water to one crore acres by tapping 1,000 tmcf Godavari water as it is going waste into the sea

Through the Mallannasagar project, water would be released to Koodelli stream, Upper Maneru dam and Talamadla project, and with them Kamareddy and Yellareddy constituencies in the district would be irrigated, other than giving water to Medak..See more Click here
