Kool_SRG Posted October 11, 2016 Author Report Posted October 11, 2016 NZ Second Innings 1.4 Yadav to Latham, OUT, pinned in front of the stumps! A Yadav specialty. Pitched full, screams in, seems to almost pick up pace off the pitch. Actually, it only seems so because Latham was bringing his bat around the front pad. Makes him late on the shot. Makes the decision quite easy for umpire Dharmasena too. And Indore goes "Indiaaaaa, India. Indiaaaaaaa, India." Just magnify that by a factor of a million in your head TWM Latham lbw b Yadav 6 (10b 0x4 1x6) SR: 60.00 Quote
dude85asi Posted October 11, 2016 Report Posted October 11, 2016 India 557/5d & 216/3d New Zealand 299 & 112/6 (25.6 ov) New Zealand require another 363 runs with 4 wickets remaining Quote
Kool_SRG Posted October 11, 2016 Author Report Posted October 11, 2016 10.6 Ashwin to Williamson, OUT, big appeal for lbw, Williamson opened himself up for that by going deep in his crease and looks woeful when umpire Oxenford gives him out. It looked dicey. It was a tough decision, mostly in terms of adjudicating how much the ball was spinning. It ripped off a good length from outside off to pin Williamson in front of middle, and with him being so far back, there was not much distance to travel. All in all, a top decision KS Williamson lbw b Ashwin 27 (33b 5x4 0x6) SR: 81.81 Quote
Kool_SRG Posted October 11, 2016 Author Report Posted October 11, 2016 18.3 Ashwin to Taylor, OUT, sweeps the wrong ball, and Ashwin waves bye-bye to him. It's slower through the air. It's too full for the shot. He should be driving at those, but hitting across the line like that, he's sabotaged himself LRPL Taylor b Ashwin 32 (25b 5x4 1x6) SR: 128.00 Quote
Kool_SRG Posted October 11, 2016 Author Report Posted October 11, 2016 22.4 Ashwin to Ronchi, OUT, fooled him! And then messes up his stumps for good measure. It was pretty full delivery, but Ronchi was suckered into playing back because the trajectory was flat. Then just to make the batsman feel like the world is against him, it stays low too. L Ronchi b Ashwin 15 (18b 1x4 0x6) SR: 83.33 Quote
Kool_SRG Posted October 11, 2016 Author Report Posted October 11, 2016 23.4 Jadeja to Neesham, OUT, chipped it straight to short midwicket. Trap set, trap sprung! There were plenty of men in the leg side, just for this shot. Short leg. Leg slip and then Kohli, who was diving low to his right to pull this off JDS Neesham c Kohli b Jadeja 0 (4b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00 Quote
Kool_SRG Posted October 11, 2016 Author Report Posted October 11, 2016 25.3 Jadeja to Guptill, OUT, the pace... he's been beaten for pace! Jaddu spears in one of his arm balls on middle and leg, Guptill's front foot was on middle stump, his bat comes down beside it. Then has to work around it. By then the ball hits the knee-roll and umpire Dharmasena sends him on his way MJ Guptill lbw b Jadeja 29 (60b 5x4 0x6) SR: 48.33 Quote

Kool_SRG Posted October 11, 2016 Author Report Posted October 11, 2016 32.5 Ashwin to Santner, OUT, goes straight on, and poor Santner throws a 'how do you do that' 'why do you even want to do that' stare at the celebrating Ashwin. It's the proper offspinner, not even the undercutter. So the batsman was well within his right to expect it to turn. And it does, just not that much. Takes the inside edge, then the pad and onto the stumps. That's 10 in the Test for Ashwin, his 6th time doing so MJ Santner b Ashwin 14 (24b 2x4 1x6) SR: 58.33 Quote
Kool_SRG Posted October 11, 2016 Author Report Posted October 11, 2016 34.1 Ashwin to Patel, OUT, now he's got a five-for in each innings! That was all a bit too easy. Tossed it up. Patel plays right across the line, trying a sweep while standing up. In effect, he ushered the ball onto his stumps JS Patel b Ashwin 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00 Quote
Kool_SRG Posted October 11, 2016 Author Report Posted October 11, 2016 34.4 Ashwin to Henry, OUT, doesn't cost India much! Tossed up well wide of off stump, Henry goes for a slap over mid-off, but the ball dips. Henry can't reach the pitch and he mistimes the ball straight to mid-off instead MJ Henry c Mohammed Shami b Ashwin 0 (3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00 Quote
