I tried turbotax. and credit karma ..they advise standard deduction..  but all desi taxplanner advised  Semi-itemized which is totally new concept. I do not think we can get standard deduction and on top of it get semi-itemized deductions for mortgage loans back in india and other expenses without bills. Not sure if IRS has specific any limits. Not sure which CPA to believe. I am in total dilemma about tax filing and choosing right CPA's. Folks in this group please share your experiences of taking itemized  deductions. I do not want to get audited unnecessarily by IRS and also not to miss any opportunity of taking an exemptions. It all depends on choosing right taxplanner or CPAs.

I highly  recommend do not use Etax planner, they are not legitimate and cont trust,  they call you 100 times until you file with them, once you get audited then no one will really care of it, I got audited from IRS for 2018 tax return and now I am struggling to contact them. I did call 100 times but goes to fake answering machine.. I wish I can sue them....

For sure you will get IRS audit penalty. Don’t even dare to think this etax planner. More charges from them for tax filing  and more penalty from audit. Etax planner CFA make sure that you will receive penalty n after receiving penalty they give you document to submit to IRS with double payment and you will get rejection.So best option is not to file from etax planner in case if you filed , don’t pay them for that query . Directly give penalty to IRS.

etaxplanner is complete fraud company , They took 300 $ from me to file my tax  . but once they received money they refused to file my tax . they will give all kind of false promises and high refund estimates before you pay . once they received money they will stop responding you. please be aware guys and stay away from this scammers. They use some Dubai base company for payment . they have formed multiple fake companies for scam.

FRAUD, Scammer‘s, They have cheated me by showing wrong property interest paying for India. For this rubbish work of E tax Planner I unable to buy a house in USA and my GC process also struck. I face too many hurdles ongoing pandemic, They never help me to Amend my return.
Don't file with E Tax Planner. FRAUD people
High fees and worst service with full of wrong claim. Audit compulsory if you filed with them either same year or might be next year.

Worst services and looter’s, They called me any time (day or night) that makes me irritate, they shared me 3 year Amendment estimation without confirmation of details. I have not requested or not interested, they have only provided estimation for 2015,2016 and 2017.
By seeing good estimation I have paid 2600$ + 15% Tax on paypal, For 3 year Amendment filing till now I did not received my refund,I am receiving Audit letters from IRS, for explanation , ETax Planner are not bother to reply me now.
All false promises Audit compulsory and etaxplanner will not help you.
On top of that they sold my data to various company like help2tax.com and mysupertax.com. Soon after I got a call from ETP, help2tax will call me ask the negotiation on fee. Similarly MST will call etc etc..

Etaxplanner cheated me. I got Audited from Etaxplanner and they stop calling me very soon I received a call from Mysupertax . I found that they both are Fraud and Scammer Beware of such scam’s

Anyone filed taxes through aotax or onlinetaxfiler ?

I was doing myself through Creditkarma/Turbotax all these years. I can't do through them now as I have - working in different states, HSA, Stocks loss forms and etc.
