but also didn't care about him making 200. He brought something special to that boring game, and I enjoyed it. I can't justify it.

I think the perception is right. but not in this match. 

during his 100th 100, India lost a match to bangladesh because him batting to get to that landmark was one of the reasons.

again, sachin is beyond statistics and matches for some, ani kontha mandiki artham kaadhu. arguing about one match where he didn't play or played against team interests (according to them) is not going to get anywhere. He played some 400 ODIs and 135 tests kadha.

Sachin was playing at a very good strike rate when he was on 194. Rahul Dravid & Ganguly (yes, you read it right. Ganguly was asking Dravid to declare) decided to declare it and it was a shocker to everyone including the opposition.

Even in tests, Sachin has better stats than Dravid. And tests are different. New ball will be taken after every 80 overs or so. Not taking anything away from Dravid.
