I am watching Ultimate beast master in netflix , chinese guys are really hard working and look at their determination , our guys always can't compete in such games , we can do things like sitting and writing , but these guys are awesome. 

They will be beating every one in the world in every event i guess in the future

what is there to abuse nature here buddy , determination ,strong nationalism is what we can see , they people are so competitive , we don't see such competitiveness in our country people in sports , thats what is surprising.

every competitive sport is abuse only.

mental and physical (doping).

okay. think about this. what's the point of winning all these medals? nationalism is sh1t, and is fit only for fcuking fools (like chinese).

personally, I would teach my kids to lay low in the background, learn/master all the skills he/she wants to, and prevent others from gentrifying that space. and never ever support a country or an ideology or any group.

competition is bullshit. especially when its taken to the extreme zero sum level.

To think about your specific question. indians cannot 'compete' because the Indian structure is not inclusive. low class kids who will probably be ready to give up their life for a moment of fame (see all those TV programs where they do death stunts), will not be allowed to access govt facilities that prepare these athletes. forget the fact that the govt program is not that intensive, and not much money or attention is paid to these programs.

and upper middle class people are not really serious about winning olympic level medals. They are happy if they can boast about their kid makes to district level (see TN cricket team, bunch of loser uppercaste kids).

US athletes who are top notch receive private funding, and have top notch professionals to help them succeed. In my opinion, its a waste of money and time, unless you are rich. also Olympic sports are individual/team sports. To attach a country to that individual is something only nationalist idiots would do.

all competition will finally create equals. the difference between a winner and the others will only be marginal. (same like how actual free market competition will erode profits of owners in the long run).

Its good to compete to stay close to the competition. but to have an insatiable desire to only win is fcuking stupid.

better things to do in life, more stuff to learn than trying to improve that 0.1% to beat your competitor.

It may look like its fun when you look at a successful athlete from the outside. Try and raise your kid to be that winner, and see your family break apart.

In general.....once he/she master the skills others start competing with that person....its a circle
