tennisluvr Posted September 21, 2018 Author Report Posted September 21, 2018 Match almost ayipoyindi ani pinchindi 11 pm kalla, appatlo used to sleep by 10 pm. But something about the way Lara was batting, his poise made it seem like he is going to give the knockout punch. And boy what a punch it was, wisden's 2nd greatest batting performance of cricketing history as it was rated. But to me, the greatest match winning performance ever. Quote

tennisluvr Posted September 21, 2018 Author Report Posted September 21, 2018 I stopped watching cricket after Lara retired, until of course modern day phenom Virat Kohli came onto the scene. Only Virat Kohli can play the sort of match winning performances Lara can, among modern day batsmen. Quote
tennisluvr Posted September 21, 2018 Author Report Posted September 21, 2018 Inka 45 minutes undi anaga Jimmy Adams(WI wicketkeeper and maha jiddu batsman) out ayyadu. Inka next Ambrose came to bat, man Aussies went for the kill trying to intimidate him. But of course, Ambrose isn't the sort to get intimidated and he even scored a 4 over the slips which got a huge applause from the crowd. But then he got out at 12. Courtney Walsh walked in. Quote

tennisluvr Posted September 21, 2018 Author Report Posted September 21, 2018 Aa rojullo test cricket's one of the greatest bowlers but one of the worst batsmen Walsh, plus he had the record for the highest number of duck outs. So everyone was very anxious as to what's going to happen, he had to survive 5 balls from Glenn McGrath. Lara walked over to him and told him something, Walsh survived 5 anxious deliveries from McGrath with the Aussie slip cordon tantalizingly close. All people watching the game in the stadium and over TV breathed a sigh of relief. Next over, Gillespie. Quote
