Dahaad TV series seems to have been inspired by serial Killer Mohan Kumar who is basically from karnataka and all murders happened within that state but TV series story is set in Rajasthan.

Also there are few deviations from the original story where Mohan Kumar actually married thrice but in movie they have shown one wife.
Also in movie he was shown he has one brother but in reality he had 2 brothers and one sister.
Similarly there are few other deviations from the actual story shown in the TV series.
Nevertheless it was well made and an eye opener.
