The actual left got decimated in TN because of the dravidian (which is quasi nationalist) movement. 

also left parties promise worker rights, and they almost refused to address caste issues until recently. Even in the recent Bengal elections it is obvious because BJP is the first party that promised mandal reservation in Bengal. It wasn't even a political issue until BJP (that opposed mandal reservation elsewhere) made it the issue.

No one can promise caste equality.. How can that happen? Dravidian movement was anti brahminist, anti India (which was synonymous with brahminism). It holds up destroying brahminism as the ideal to strive towards. 

What does antibramhanism mean when you can’t achieve caste equality? Left of center always points out that certain castes are abusive- thereby promising that when they get to power everything will be set right.  All allegations continue until they garner votes. After that everyone shuts shop and acts as if nothing wrong happens during their tenure. Who cares about what right wingers do. This thread is not about them. However, this thread clearly is trying to say that TN developed because of social justice/caste equality.

dravidian parties promised to bring stuff like education, entry to temples, representation in public institutions to the castes that were denied them for many centuries. and they did that.. slowly. but they did what they promised.

TN developed inspite of being stuck inside India is the point. Without the burden of being under the right wing majorty rule of India, TN could've done much better, simply because their ideals were for a fairer world than Indian union's ideal.

that's why its important what right wingers do. India forced an entrance exam NEET on TN, which banned entrance tests many many years ago. Dravidianism is constantly at war with India's brahminism.

Amaravati is not filled with dry sand , it has land & water 

UAE they are smart they are investing in other sectors of future  and this oil running out its like 100 years still they will find oil.

Antibrahminism simply means propagating egalitarian values (irrespective of caste) 

may be you are confusing the Indian Union that forces its values on its subjects, with dravidianism which only nudges its constituents with conversations and creating social spaces (Periyar Thidal) were such ideas can be shared.

dravidian parties gave obc reservation way before mandal commission recommended it. 

in fact when entire India was burning in 2006 in opposition to obc reservation, TN was the only state that whole heartedly supported it.

may be you are some kind of weird revolutionary challenging dravidianists to create a casteless society. I'm sorrrry.. no one can do that. but without many of dravidianists ideas, Hindutva India would be poorer intellectually, and even governance wise.
