Govt Schools - Each year 11,000 crores are spent by govt to run the schools

ZERO students in 1192 schools as per this article. 

Many of my relatives are working as govt school teachers and they told there are more staff like 8-10 staff for 8-10 students in case of many schools around the area's they are working. Year by year percentage of kids joining govt schools coming going down drastically even after govt spending such a huge amount(~11K crores, no one wants their kids to study in govt schools mostly due to the social status factor only very poor are joining now a days. Earlier, even upper to middle class income kids in villages used to study in govt schools which is not a case anymore.

 

Govt should seriously think clubbing 4-5 govt schools and run buses from villages thereby efficiently using that amount and infrastructure or every school should have 10% seats reserved for lower income people which govt should fill up. Govt can invest remaining money into research! Huge cost saving & streamlining can happen here
