Anta Assamey
YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to tour Visakhapatnam in a couple of days to commence a series of developmental works in the port city. This is the first visit of Jagan to Visakhapatnam after withdrawing the three capitals’ bill in the state assembly, which triggered some kind of unrest in the people of the city. However, according to sources, the chief minister is likely to address a public meeting in Visakhapatnam, where he is expected to make some big announcement on the executive capital city. It is not immediately known whether it is about shifting of his camp office from Tadepalli to Visakhapatnam or the creation of infrastructure in the city pending the introduction of new bill on three capitals in the state assembly. Jagan is likely to launch some of the projects worth Rs 1,285 crore, for which he had laid foundation stone soon after coming to power in 2019. He would also lay foundation stone for Visakhatnam-Bhogapuram greenfield airport highway, a coastal highway and industrial park and IT park. The chief minister is also expected to announce the master plan road in Visakhapatnam being built by AP Road Development Corporation and Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation. He would also announce a series of projects as part of beach front re-development, sources said.
