Shoba had a great point against PP but her behavior, attitude, body language and shouting made it worse for her. PP promised Amar to make captain but did not come in last with shoba. That's being a coward. It was his golden chance to fight against shivaji and score brownie points. Quote

Agree with what you said, but the difference is that PP promised openly that he will make him a captain. Y make fake promises and not stand by them. I am not sure if shoba asked him during that task to come forward or just brought it up during nominations. I am not supporting shoba here, but only saying how message gets lost with body language.
