After Indian-origin man's death, Canadian in India warns those planning Canada move: 'Many aspects dysfunctional' Prashant Sreekumar died in Canada's Edmonton after being left unattended at a hospital for over 8 hours. A Canadian content creator living in India has reacted to the recent death of Prashant Sreekumar, an Indian-origin man who reportedly died after waiting more than 8 hours in the emergency room of a hospital in Edmonton, Canada. In a video shared on Instagram, Caleb Friesen, who has been living in India for the past 8 years, urged Indians considering a move abroad to be aware of the realities of Canada’s public healthcare system. In his video, Friesen referred to news reports about Prashant, a 44-year-old accountant, who began experiencing acute chest pain at work and was taken to Grey Nuns Community Hospital. After triage, he was allegedly asked to wait in the ER despite repeated complaints of severe pain. He reportedly collapsed hours later and died in the treatment area. Friesen warned that long wait times like these are not isolated occurrences. “Many Indians still have an incorrect perception of Canada,” he said, adding that pictures of clean cities and natural landscapes often obscure day-to-day systemic challenges. “Below the surface, there are many aspects of Canada that are severely dysfunctional. One such aspect is Canada’s health care system.” Many Indians still have an incorrect perception of Canada. They see their uncles, aunts, cousins, siblings, and friends relocating to Canada and sending back photos and videos of first-world infrastructure and natural beauty. Below the surface though, there are many aspects of Canada that are severely dysfunctional. One such aspect is Canada's health care system. At first glance, this system may seem impressive because it's free for citizens. In reality though, it's broken and in the midst of a crisis that has resulted in many Canadians struggling to get the care they need. Many Indian people don't realise this before moving to Canada. Nobody told them that they could wait up to 8 hours in the ER waiting room of a Canadian hospital if they experience a health emergency. Nobody told them that annually, multiple people expire while waiting for care in the ER. But once they've become NRIs or given up their Indian citizenship and become Canadians, it's too late to turn back. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DS1aQJdkRp4/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=fda42573-b328-4384-867f-d2625e31be89

I already said about pollution. Its going to go away and then everyone in this forum will realize and will be on my side. I am just trying to wake people up early so that they don't miss their window. Corruption...I posted in another thread. Hyderabad is already corruption free. Don't give bribe even if they ask and the work will still get done. I have done multiple registrations, dealth with various govt offices. Zero bribe. If you ask me, there is lot more corruption in US. They even wage wars. Look at how govt funds are misused in minnesota, how ppp loans were misused. Its our tax money right? Compare roads from 5 years ago to now. They are getting better. Food adulteration can be managed. But atleast due to maids and other support system, you eat fresh in India. -

They don't know the reality yet. It takes a generation for trends to normalize. I request everyone to read all my posts in the thread and not ask the same questions over and over again. As I already said, you need to look at the percentage increase of people going out and people coming in. -
