This is not the first time Bangladesh has made threats against India. Recently, a man who used to mock India through Facebook posts was shot in Dhaka city last day and is currently on life support. Another Facebook user mocked, “Student bro really thought the ‘Seven Sisters’ was a K-pop group he could just break up with a speech.” This comes amid high tensions between supporters of the interim government in Bangladesh and India, following the ousting of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who fled to India. Many Indians viewed this as a direct threat to India’s sovereignty and a sign of growing radicalisation in the neighbouring country.
