The writers ran out of ideas. It is hard to create a universe. Upside down worked because it was basically the same city. Very small scope. Their creativity had limits.

Easily the best movie that I saw in the theaters in 2025 - in any language. The highlights for me in the movie: 1) Akshaye Khanna 2) Ranveer Singh 3) Akshaye Khanna's entry into the Balochistan Rebel camp where the now famous Fliperrachi song plays - man what an insane vibe that song has got. And the way Akshaye Khanna performs that little step - pictured so superbly. 4) The Punjabi song "Na De Dil Pardesi" that plays when Akshaye Khanna realizes the truth in the car - wow what perfect placement of that song - the BGM was absolutely mental. 5) The overall acting in the movie by almost everyone was top notch. Such a long movie well over 3 hours and I did not feel bored for a single second. Perhaps some songs were avoidable but I guess you needed some relief in such an intense movie. Overall glad to end the year with this banger of a movie.

My agony is that they wasted 7 episodes with nothing but dragging script. They could have explained the workings of hellscape, the real nature of MF and had the 2 hours finale reaerved for full blown war. This is lazy writing not bad acting.

They had no choice. The kids were getting bad at acting and the writers were running into dead ends with the script.

Literally a big let down from Season 4. Tha packng was so slow for vol1 and 2 and rushed for the finale. No explanation of where are the demobats, demodogs and demogorgons.
