One of the reasons why we were easily ruled by European communities is coz they took advantage of our insecurities. We have to get rid of these insecurities and give more importance to a person - personality, traits and give respect. It will take some generations. I teach this to my kids. It’s the personality that gets the respect. I highlight unique things in them and ask them to never lose it. I ask them to improve on stuff not good. One of my kid is a very happy person since childhood. Everyone used to say. Never cries, always happy with whatever she has or gets. Learnt so much from her.
