Telangana was a separate state from 1948 September 17 to 1956 October 31. But the hungry resource state(AP) made a demand to join AP after getting separated from Madras. But failed to keep the promises after merging of Telangana state in AP.

People of telangana were vexed with andhra guys and they were fighting since 1969 for a separate state.

So, you guys have two options

1. either to keep your promisses

2 Nor to give a separate telangana , as it was before . so that we can develop our own state.

if you say, Andhra would chose the first one , People of telangana are not in a position to believe these Andhra guys. since they betrayed for many long years for their selfishness in the process of distribution of water and other resources and developments.

Why did Potti Sriramulu sacrifice his life for separation of Andhra from Madras?

Because Madras People were consciously dominating in terms of budget/resouce allocation, disparity to Telugu samskruti, misrepresentation of Telugu people in media. The same scenario exists here.

Many people say why do we need 2 states when we have same "telugu" as our language. I ask them why are 6 states existing in India with "Hindi" as a language.

Telangana wants to be seperated because its culture is not given enough encouragement and its language is used as funny in movies and other media.

Many ask if you split up AP, it will scatter into small pieces.

Let me tell them Area of Telangana is lo bigger than Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala.

Irrigational Disparities in AP:

Of the three regions of the state, Telangana has the largest area, with 11,48,000 sq km, followed by coastal Andhra with 9,28,000 sq km. The cultivable area is estimated at 64,02,358 hectares in Telangana and 46,33,304 hectares in the Coastal Andhra. But 13,12,795 hectares or 28.33 percent of the cultivable land in the Coastal Andhra is being irrigated under canal irrigation system, whereas 2,66,964 hectares or 4.17 percent of the cultivable land in Telangana is receiving canal waters.

The amount spent in Telangana so far is Rs. 4005 crores while that spent in Coastal Andhra is Rs. 19,693.50 crores, nearly five times higher. In terms of percentage, while Telangana got a mere 15.5 percent, coastal Andhra got 76 percent.

Budget allocation:

In terms of budget allocations, the pattern is the same: denial, deprivation and diversion. Based on area and population, Telangana should get 39-44 percent of the state's budget allocations. But at no point did its allocation exceed 30 percent. Yet Telangana contributes 42 percent of revenue to the state exchequer. Besides, according to some reports, as much as Rs 5000 crores allocated to Telangana under various heads by successive state governments have been diverted to the coastal Andhra region in the past two decades.

Educational disparities in AP:

Although Telangana accounts for half of the state's population, less than 25 percent of educational institutions from primary to college level are situated in the region. Only 15 percent of aided junior colleges are in Telangana while it has only two medical colleges. As many as six medical colleges are in the other areas. The region is discriminated in the field of technical education also. Only 26 out of the 72 government ITIs, 20 of the 91 polytechnic colleges are in Telangana. The gross injustice to Telangana can be seen from expenditure on education. Of the total expenditure of Rs 1150.2 crore the state has incurred on the aided degree colleges since 1956, coastal Andhra cornered the loin's share of 73.71 percent while Telangana got a paltry 10.43 percent. The corresponding share of the two regions in the expenditure incurred on the aided junior colleges is 62.71 percent and 9.45 percent, respectively. In this kind of lopsidedness, how can literacy spread? This is no accident; it cannot be especially since it has continued since 1956, and it pervades all type of education - school, college, professional and technical.

Misrepresentation and bias in Media:

There is misrepresentation of facts in the Press (Especially Eenadu - Ramoji Rao wants to suppress the movement. He doesn't publish single news of Telangana.). Yesterday night I found out that Eenadu sales went down by 40 % in last month as Telanganites are boycotting it. If Andhra Farmer looses crops once in 2 yrs, Eenadu publishes it as front page feature but at the same if 2000 people(farmers) die in warangal because of lack of water (basic amenity), it publishes it in district news.

We dont know if we would have dedicated any time or resource if we were born during pre-independence era. Same situation is before us. Fighting for seperate telangana doesn't mean fighting with fellow andhrites. It just means we take share of what we deserve. I am 100% confident that seperate Telangana would be attained

so okay bhayya nuvvu konni manchi questions adigavu. mari nenu ninnu konni aduguta daaniki sootiga answer s iyyi.

1. Telangana bhashani movieslo comedyga chhupincharu annav mari nenu telangana kanna godavari, sreekakulam yaasa(ante dialects) ne inka ekkuva comedy scenes lo use chesarani chupista. inka sye, etc,. movieslo heroes ke telangana yaasa pettaru inka comedy actorski andhra yaasa pettaru.

2. Telangana is bigger than punjab ,etc., ani annav mari ghorkha land , harit pradesh lu kuda assam, himachal pradeshla kanna peddavi. avi kuda icheddama. antenduku anni statesni oka 100 km radius limit petti annnitini divide cheddam. appudu evadiki vadu chakaga vadi areas ni develop chesukovachu.

3. Sare unkoti irrigational disparities annav mari 5CMs from telangana inka 119 MLA's from telangana em chesaru only Rs. 4005 crs matrame karchupedite. Andhra vaalu vachi aa money laageskunnarani cheppaku endukante telangana reprsentatives ekkuva assebly lo inka neeku andhra kanna telangana ki chendina powerfull leaders perle ekkuva chupista kaavalante.

4. For budget allocation same ask your representatives what they have donefor this disparity. Also most of the budget allocation is allocated for hyderabad and its surrounding areas and not much development is done in andhra and seema areas. Infact i would say seema areas have recieved less budget %age then they should have recieved for past 50 years before YSR became chief minister. Should they also ask for seperate state.

Β  Also states such as assam and kerala have recieved less national budget allocation than their %agae area sige should receieve. So Should they request for separate country hood as per your logic

5. Inka educations instutions annav, okkati sutiga aduguta OU, NIT waranagal(my college), JNTU ivi telanaganelone unnayiga. inka vasavi, CBIT, etc., colleges vachayi recent years lo prominence ki. i really appreciate your patience to answer the questions

and i also agree with few of your views

but still on a whole injustice have done to telangana

and one more thing, telangana was a separate state.

Nehru requested the telangana leader to join Andhra and said, its just like a matrimonial alliance having scope for divorce if it did not work- Jawaharlal Nehru March 6, 1956

"If the public SENTIMENT Β crystalises itself AGAINST the unification, TELANGANA Β  will continue as a separate state."- States Reorganisation Commission, 1956

Nehru said they were forming the states based on language. and convinced us. But according to SRC, we have the right to divide at any time we want. We don't need your concern

The 2 major reasons why the demand has been pending for so many years is WATER AND HYDERBAD. People around the state have earned and invested in and around Hyderabad so there is a concerns about the safety of the investment if the state is separated while both the major rivers in our state flow mostly through Telangana. Below are some facts that are few reasons for the demand. Sentiments can be foolish but not facts.

a.Β  Β  Β  There are 10 districts in Telangana, 9 in Andhra and 4 in Rayalaseema. Out of these 7 districts in Telangana, 3 in Andhra and 1 in Rayalaseema are considered severely backward districts which means 70% of districts in Telangana are backward while in Andhra it is 35% and in Rayalaseema it is 25%. Apart from these there are some areas in all parts of the state which are also backward.

b.Β  Β  Β  45% of the state income comes from Telangana region. When it comes to utilization of funds, the share of Telangana is only 28%.

c.Β  Β  Β  Β  Normally canals are dug to supply water to the crops from rivers for cultivation. The amount of land cultivated through canals in just Guntur district is more than the land cultivated with canals in entire Telangana region.

d.Β  Β  Β  Nagarjuna sagar dam is built in Nalgonda district which is in Telangana but majority of the water from the dam is used for Krishna and Guntur district. The original dam was supposed to be build much ahead of its present location but the location was changed so that it falls in the Telangana region. Due to the construction of the dam several hectares of Lime stone mines vanished as part of the dam back waters. Everyone know that lime stone is used for producing cement. Even the natural resources were not allowed to remain.

e.Β  Β  Β  Β  Fluorinated water problem is only in Nalgonda district which has not been resolved since decades.

f.Β  Β  Β  Β  Two major rivers Krishna and Tungabhadra enter the state of AP in the district of Mahaboobnagar(the biggest district in Telangana) but the district always remains the worst draught hit areas along with Anantapur because there is no project and process with which the water can be utilized. The plans for utilization has been pending for decades.

g.Β  Β  Β  RDS (Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme) is build in Mahaboobnagar to provide water to 85000 hectares of land in the district. The leaders of Rayalaseems blasted the gates of RDS and water is supplied to KC (Kurnool-Cudapah) canal while only remaining water, if any, is supplied to the lands in Mahaboobnagar.

h.Β  Β  Β  3 TMC of water from Gandipet is sufficient to supply drinking water to our city. Every year 1700 TMC of water is wasted and is flown into Bay of Bengal from river Godavari. Starting from Nizambad to Bay of Bengal there is no project allowed to build on Godavari. If it is built leaders in Godavari districts fear that the fertile lands in the area may fall short of water. If the Godavari water is utilized properly, there will be no scarcity for food grains in our state.

i.Β  Β  Β  Β  In Telangana regions, only few areas cultivate one crop a year and very rarely two crops a year while most of the land doesn’t even cultivate single crop. In both the Godavari districts, Krishna and Guntur district, two crops a year is common and there are times where even 3 crops a year are cultivated. The only reason is WATER.

j.Β  Β  Β  Β  Government issue G.O.’s for implicating its decisions. G.O number 610 is the longest non implicated G.O in the history of AP. The G.O was issued in 1986 by late NTR who was then the CM of AP, which is not yet implicated. The G.O speaks about the share of Telangana employees in Government jobs in Telangana region.

k.Β  Β  Β  33% of the population in Mahaboobnagar district have left the district for livelihood to different parts of the state due to draught and majority of them are working as daily labour. No other district has so many people who fled the home place due to lack of livelihood and working as daily labour.

l.Β  Β  Β  Β  There are 25 plus government degree colleges in Krishna, Kadapa and Guntur district while there is not even a single government degree college in Ranga Reddy district.

m.Β  Β  Dairy development corporation of AP purchases milk from farmers across the state for distribution. For the same milk, in Andhra, the government pay Rs. 24 to the farmers and in Telangana they pay Rs. 22 per litre. Partiality is shown even in milk J

N.Β  Β  Β  In between 2005-2008 government sold lands worth Rs. 20000 crores in and around Hyderabad which was utilized to build projects in Rayalaseema and Andhra.

O.Β  Β  Β  Not even a single project was completed in Telangana in the last 5 years while several projects were completed in Andhra and Rayalaseema.
