Unlocked 15 Pro deals are thin unless you wait for holiday promos. I bought mine outright and grabbed Apple’s Black Friday gift card, then kept an eye on Amazon Warehouse and Best Buy open-box, both sometimes have like-new, unlocked units a bit cheaper. If you can wait until the 16 drops, the 15 Pro price usually slides for a few weeks.

To reduce the hit, I sold my old iPhone XR through sell my phone and it beat the quotes I got going direct. Free tracked postage and next-day payout covered a nice chunk of the upgrade.
