u dont know about Thummala man..he did not earn any money in politics..he is pro development...kakapotey..arrogant/pride ekkuva..but always works for the betterment of people. Ponguleti spent the money for the election so he will have to regain that money back.

the reason is that he does not mingle with mass..edo pai paina development events ki attend ayyi pothadu...but connection is not there with people. Tummala goes to almost every marriage when invited..some time comes to the house also when he could not come to marriage.  Same with ponguleti..he goes to all cadre events and gives some money..

Jupally Krishna Rao is from Kollapur, Mahaboonnagar is a Velama leader. He worked in YS cabinet and Kiran Kumar record cabinet before and switched to Dora party before coming into Congress again. He has kept low profile, so not really aware of his finances. 

Ponguleti's family was from Kallur, khammam district from a small farming family. The elder brother of his father, happens to stuck a good mine when Late Rajeev Gandhi gave them money to distribute before elections , but was later killed. That's their capital. Then they expanded into business and politics. His father's elder brother son Ponguleti sudhakara Reddi has long career in politics in Congress party and he switched to BJP recently. Ponguleti Srinivasa reddy in his early days was working for a contractor which is a relative of Jagan. The guy liked Ponguleti for his looks and work ethics and got him married to his daughter. That's how Fortune struck Ponguleti. Then with time Ponguleti grew as a contractor and benefitted from being close associate of both Thummala and Jagan, more so for the latter. Ponguleti is known to bill 1 rupee for every 20 paisa of work wherever he can. He amassed so much that he is undoubtedly the richest guy in Khammam even richer than Puvvada. Which was why he was able to challenge Dora.  Ponguleti was the only guy to win an MP seat from Telangana on YSRCP ticket in 2014. He latter joined BRS at the request of Dora. But, not being given ticket in subsequent elections in favour of Nama Nageshwara  Rao and being sidelined and fed up with the style of Dora he started to nurture his own group. His in laws were very influential in the rich Palair constituency, where they have own gadis. Ponguleti and Thummala intended to quite Congress and join BJP which didn't materialize in the last minute due to BJP's suicide. 

Hearsay is that Dora didn't even listen to Jagan when Ponguleti approached for a compromise.  with no option left he declared a direct fight against Dora and funded entire Khammam district. The money came from Andhra and Karnataka as well. Post Telangana formation and districts reorganisation, MPs lost relevance. Only ministerial candidates are having clout as far as district level administration is concerned. Which is why he contested as an MLA this time and took a ministry, so did Gaddam Vivek.

Ponguleti has very good ground reach as he is accessible to cadre for most of the time just like Thummala.
