There are production issues and we are all sometimes expected to take care of them when needed. At the same time we all have lives. But we all take doctors appointments and other excuses to take some breaks from work as well. Its a thin line. Once in a while its OK to get these calls and take them. When they become too many (esp if you are in prod support) ask for comp off. Else talk to your manager and move our of PROD support or look for a new job. Quote
