Not necessarily. A lot Hindu Reddies support Jagan because of their affection towards YSR. They don't accept Sharmila to the same degree. Male Child is the flag bearer of Legacy, not daughter or son-in-law

They only come into picture if the male succesor is incapable.

Rice bag generally implies those that converted to Christianity. There are good chunk of Reddies who converted to Christianity as well, but still are reddies by Caste.  Hindu Reddies is apparent by connotation, Reddies that stick to Hinduism.

Reddies are no different from other castes likes Kammas, Kapus, Rajus who have their own leaders. Even Vysyas do palabhishekams for Gandhi. In India masses identify with group leaders. That's the psychology.
