Suchana Seth’s questioning, son’s post-mortem reveal he was ‘smothered 36 hours earlier’

In Karnataka, Dr Kumar Naik, a government doctor who conducted the post-mortem, said, “The child was killed more than 36 hours earlier. He has been smothered or strangulated. There are no wounds or signs of struggle. There may be the use of a pillow or a wire.”

Suchana Seth's ex-husband has reached Bengaluru with their 4-year-old son’s body.
The body to an apartment in the city where the initial rituals took place and the cremation will be held at Harishchandra Ghat in Rajajinagar.

Venkataraman P R, a data scientist with a Ph.D. in Physics, hails from Kerala and is a top executive with a financial services firm. He was settled in Indonesia. Venkataraman reached Hiriyur in Chitradurga on Tuesday night and took possession of the body of his son after postmortem.

The couple met when they were research fellows at the Raman Research Institute between 2008 and 2011. A source told The Indian Express that Seth dropped out in 2010. Their son was born on August 14, 2019.

Startup CEO son's murder appears pre-planned, empty cough syrup bottles in found her room: Police

The Goa police have found two empty bottles of a cough syrup in a room where the CEO of a start-up allegedly killed her four-year-old son, indicating she might have given a heavy dose of the medicine to him and that it was pre-planned murder, an official said on today.

A senior police officer told PTI that during the inspection of the service apartment room where the woman stayed, they found two empty bottles (one big and another small) of a cough syrup.

"The post-mortem conducted on the body has indicated the possibility that the child might have been smothered to death and there were no signs of struggle," he said.

"We are examining the possibility if the woman gave a heavy dose of cough syrup to the child before putting him to death," the official said.

Enquiries with the service apartment staff revealed the woman had asked them to buy a small bottle of a cough syrup claiming she was having cough, he said, adding the bigger bottle might have been carried by her.

"It looks like a pre-planned murder," the official said. (PTI)
