If your green card gets petitioned E2 visa won't be renewed. E2 risks denial if your business is struggling or marginally successful. You will need to switch to EB5 for a green card as you're born in India for better prospects or switch from TN to H or L visa for a green card. I haven't been to Seattle or Bayarea but visited and lived in Dallas I've lived in Southern Ontario for most of my life in Canada. Dallas is relatively is cheap. But property taxes are way higher if you're to buy a house. Weather is unbearable, it's like hot air blower to your face for most of the time. Too much Telugu /desi concentration more or less like Toronto. If you like that vibe, you will feel home in Dallas. I've lived in Hoover, Alabama, for a while in Tennessee (Chattanooga) visited Nashville and Atlanta often. I felt all these places are better than Dallas, but Atlanta is the only one that come close the size of Dallas. The others are more better places to live. How long you been in TN so far? renewals ela vuntay? wife and husband ki separate TN tesukovala work cheyali ante? Quote

Open a LLC somewhere in US, say like in Delaware. Get an EIN or ITIN for tax purposes and open a separate US checkings account for your business. Subcontract your work from your LLC in US to Canadian INC. Quote

Still first year on TN. Got 3 years approved. I don't know. Employer wants to file H1 as well. TN dependent on a TD visa cannot work in US. They need their own TN visa again or F1 CPT/OPT or H or L visas. 1 Quote

Particularly GTA and how much difference as per income? is it a good move? How do you advise? My salary bumped quite a bit, from 110 K CDN to 160 USD (~200k+ CDN. Not big cities , so not as expensive as Canada for groceries and rent. I find automobile services cheaper in Canada though. Weather is definitely better, taxes are lower , more money so good move. But food wise, milk is of lower quality (Hormone laced) if you buy from Costco or Walmart unless you buy grass fed, same with eggs and meat (not fresh cuts). Canadian summers are better though. Also, cities spend less money on public infrastructure here unlike in Ontario, which means less side walks, less or not well maintained parks etc. Amenities vary from rich to middle class to poor neighbourhoods unlike Ontario. I haven't felt unsafe till date. Americans are more talkative unlike Canadians who are more stoic. That may also be a southern thing. I say think of your priorities before you make a call. Do you want more money, less taxes better weather and trade your free health care, no visa issues, stability for it? Then yes. 1 Quote

Simply speaking, if you liquidate your TFSA and have no property in Canada and work one job in USA, the no you don't need to pay taxes in Canada. Quote

Physical mailing address is better because American systems still use a lot of mail, but if it's just IRS , your clients and yourself whatever works is fine. Quote

If you intend to withdraw then you need to report that on US tax returns, and it will taxed accordingly. Also, the amount will subject to withholding tax by Canadian government. Quote
