Will inflation ever reach 2%?

Everyone refinanced their mortgages at very low interest during covid times. This alone is saving thousands per year which inturn creates inflation. Everyone's house price is up 30 to 50%. Everyone's stock portfolio is all time high. This year because of elections Fed will cut interest rates. Other than tech all other sectors have plenty of jobs. Unemployment at all time low. I think it will take atleast couple of years to see 2% inflation.

even PCE numbers is grossly deflated.

just do one thing, do a cost analysis of all the items typically you use for your family and compare the price today

my numbers show around 10%-20% inspite of adding govt reported inflation as typical rise in costs.

for example check this, car buying contributes significantly to living costs and it is nowhere in the PCE

average-car-retail-.format-jpeg.jpegqual

average-car-price-t.format-jpeg.jpegqual

spare parts for cars, service costs pretty much everything increased way over than reported inflation

this is not something i need to argue to prove, you should have experienced it already

Its tough to guage. The parameters that Govt measures compared to what we often sue in daily usage, inflation matters differently.

With so much money in the system/people, cpi target of 2% by the fed isn't possible in the next few years

but fed and interest rates…etc are different kadaa…aa country ki ee country ki…

as long as human resources wages increasing every product rate also increases …it doesn’t come down…

for example year on year 2-3% vundi ante…last year vunna rate ee year rate 2%-3% perigindhani…
