For me Animal was a disappointment but Vanga excelled in few scenes and are mind blowing. He took too many cinematic liberties esp in the second half, the heart transplant and the girl who comes to fck hin is over the top.

best scenes 

1) ranbirs portrayal- introducion scene, bike chase, fight before the interval. Background music is the best

He has an excellent sense of capturing the minute details like when Ranbir brings rashmika  to introduce to his father, look at the scene framing, books case in the background and while they are talking you see sakti kapoor holding a cigar in the background (he is totally not needed but putting in the background brings a different aura), that is what elevates the scenes to the next level and Vanga one upped.

a lot of the scenes he borrowed from Arjun Reddy, sometimes felt like Arjun Reddy for example Ranbir walking with a gun into sisters college.

all in all I like Vanga’s work but the Movie is a let down for me, especially mob/god father like movies need realism, attack, counterattack, strategy etc..and this movie has nothing but dishum dishum
