Dhed Posted January 31, 2024 Report Posted January 31, 2024 I lift weight 4 to 5 times per week and 30 minutes cardio daily I wanted to loose 15 kgs which I successfully completed in 4 months. I never skipped rice or milk or any carbs but took limited meals only thing I changed was checked my protein intake and realized I only consume 70 g of protein but for my body type I needed 170 g of protein I used protein yogurt , Isopure Protein powder smoothie using no sugar almond milk and all berries and banana mix smoothie ( 300 cal ) for a big jug which will keep you full did that 2 times a days and reached my protein goal and maintained calorie deficit of 1400 cal when calculated work outs No need to stop any diet including rice or other carbs as you can’t sustain those diets for longer time if you cut what you enjoy and eventually will start overeating Quote
cisco_sastry Posted February 1, 2024 Report Posted February 1, 2024 I eat a banana or nuts like walnuts, macadamia nuts before going to gym. After gym either 2 egg whites or protein powder. Protein powders are not fda regulated so I take it only once a week. I also take collagen(it has protein too) once a week. egg whites, chicken, fish, yogurt are my main protein sources. Quote

AvramFaind Posted July 24, 2024 Report Posted July 24, 2024 For a pre-workout snack, I usually go for a handful of nuts or a small bowl of Greek yogurt with some berries. They give me the right mix of protein and carbs to get through my workout. After the gym, I find it important to get a good balance of protein and carbs to help with muscle recovery. I like using organic whey protein powder mixed with water or milk because it's easy to digest and gives a quick protein boost. Sometimes I also have a slice of whole wheat toast with peanut butter and banana slices. Quote
