An Andhra Pradesh woman recently stayed at a posh hotel in Delhi’s Aerocity for around 15 days. Her total bill during her stay at Pullman Hotel ran up to around Rs 6 lakh, of which over Rs 2 lakh was spent on availing spa services. The woman, who was arrested for cheating the hotel, had only Rs 41 in her bank account, according to the police. The woman, identified as Jhansi Rani Samuel, had booked the hotel on December 13 for 15 days. According to the hotel staff, Samuel showed a fake identity card of one Isha Dave to avail services worth Rs 2.11 lakh at the spa facility. Samuel reportedly showed the hotel staff that she was making transactions on the ICICI Bank UPI app. However, the hotel soon discovered that they had not received any payment for the transactions.
