anyone heard of below tax filing companies

I am filing through one company khobtax for last 14 years.. they charge me 120_160$ not sure if there are somewhere reliable ones.

Did they maximize the returns , Like I used to own 8k, and somehow they used to get atleast 7k refunds

Such unsual maximization will return in fines with 27% interest after few  years..don't go for it..

Elaborate more on this. All tax returns firms based from India is doing this and luring the desi community. If went to HR block it will be like owe 8k - 10k but this guys doing some manipulation and getting 5k -10k in refunds. Is it like H1 process of dorikethene donga, the probability of getting caught 1% out of 100 ? and people taking the chances?

Those manipulations will be caught after audit .. and you will have to pay thise 8k with interest added.. there are scenarios where desi uncles paid 70k$ for 12k$ ..avoid such agencies

I used www.install-turbo-tax.com last year and it made things way easier for me, especially with standard deductions and W-2 uploads. Just follow the steps they give, and it walks you through everything. If you're unsure about 1099s or dependents, it asks simple questions to figure it out. Saved me the headache of figuring it all out on my own.
