people are not idiots - they are actually very smart. when someone or something goes viral, people ride that wave for free PR. news papers, YT channels, political parties, upcoming movie producers... We see that in tiktok and YT when something goes viral, everyone makes videos on that same trending topic to gain views and followers quickly.

when it comes to PR and getting business/TRP/views/ad-revenue, none of these people/papers/channels/parties give a sh!t about what happens to who. All they want is PR and it doesn't matter to them where it comes from. even discussion forums celebrate with traffic even when their favorite political leader gets arrested! They don't hesitate to make chillar even from dead bodies!!
