Saw an interesting study that said more than two-thirds of NRIs living in the U.S. wanted to return to India sometime after they retire. Three questions:

Do you want to move to India after retirement?

If yes, would you buy a home, live in a serviced apartment or do something else?

Would you be interested in splitting your time between your home in the U.S. and a place in India?

Looking forward to your answe

rs!

As long as we have job , good health , nice loving family , decent bank balance , no visa issues USA rocks ..

vaatiloo edi teda kottina india gurtuku vachhe chances parugutaayi...

india has every thing be it fibre internet, good food , sunny weather , good public transport (railway, buses ,autos , taxis) ,at home labor service be it maids , instamarts deliveries , festivals round the year , sense of belonging , no culture differences , decent domestic tourist places  and other reasons

On paper logic kaadu le kaani, I heard a real life story which sounded practical for me.

Early 40s lo kids tho kalisi moved to India.

Kids went to school, family settled, parents ki kaasta daggaraga etc.

In the next decade this couple grew into 50s, parents passed away, kids came to college age.

Kids decided to go to college in America as they are USC, seats vachayi etc.

Cut cheste 50s lo papm veellu malli alone. Kids leru, Parents leru, India lo unnaru. Pillalaki daggaraga undatam kosam malli America vachesaru.

Heard this happened with many folks.

Aaa age lo India poyi ontariga undali anna kooda kashtame.

But this is the best path right? You get best of both worlds. Kids spent time with grand parents, you spend with your parents, kids got some Indian values in them and language.

India lo medical facilities vunte ade best ley.

nenu aithe oka 10yrs tarvata maa vuru lo relangi movayya lekka podduna lechi paper sadivi ala walking chesukunta, bathakani kottukunta ala kalam gadipestha.

2yrs back telisina driver uncle, family lekka anukoo he has been driving since I came to US, naa masters appudu  ochchadu airport ki dimpadaniki ala all stages of life lo vunnadu, he said something along these lines while driving me and my uncle to hyderabad
"alludu neeku oka goal vundi, pakkana mee mama ki oka goal vundii, naaku aa goals em levu anduke happy ga vunna ani"

so I noticed some of my family members who are that way; pani chesinanni rojulu chesinru later one day stopped working. chill life enjoying, maa mama podduna lestadu em pani ledu bike paina velthadu bathakaani, settlements panchayat lu chestadu, evening oka peg esi pandukuntadu ante.
maa inti mundu uncle, abudhabi lo work chesadu retired anukoo, illu kattukunnadu, oka ammai pelli chesadu inko ammai bachelors doing, ala morning walk ki velthadu ostadu panulu chesukuntadu chill avtadu.

basically they had started their family life in mid 20s by the time they were 45-50 kids grown up and ready to take care on their own and now they are chilling life. mana family life ee 30s lo start ayindii for folks especially in US (who had kids before 30 are lucky) but most of us fall in that spectrum, mana kids atleast highschool complete chesedaka manaki tappadu kada to be in workforce ala mana chill time varaki vuntamoo pothamoo kuda telvadi.
