Qatari authorities on Monday released the eight Indian Navy veterans who were sentenced to death there. Earlier, due to diplomatic intervention by New Delhi, the capital punishment was commuted to an extended prison term. The external affairs ministry earlier assured family members of these veterans that it would mobilise all diplomatic channels and arrange legal assistance to enable their return.

Out of the eight former Indian Navy officers, seven have returned to India, according to an official statement. “The Government of India welcomes the release of eight Indian nationals working for the Dahra Global company who were detained in Qatar. Seven out of the eight of them have returned to India. We appreciate the decision by the Amir of the State of Qatar to enable the release and home-coming of these nationals,” the external affairs ministry said in the statement.

Modi first term kante second term lo chaala chesaadu!

1. Article 370 abrogation

2. CAA-NRC

3. Ram Mandir

4. UCC(in some states)

5. Economy wise not so bad when compared to many other countries....but he should still do more!

6. Farm Laws ni malli implement cheyyali ee saari

Farm Laws clear ga ledu va.. when dispute arise there is no better provision for Farmers to go. It was mentioned that there would be a liaison officer with cadre of IAS or IPS who can resolve this. You know how this works..

It's such a relief to hear that the eight Indian Navy veterans have finally been freed and are back home. Huge kudos to the diplomatic efforts that made this possible. It must have been such a nerve-wracking time for their families.  I’ve been reading up on similar cases, and it’s heartening to see that persistent diplomatic pressure can really make a difference. This reminds me of how crucial it is to have strong legal support in such distressing situations. I recently stumbled upon some resources for military veterans dealing with tough legal battles, like those from military sexual trauma attorneys at https://ptsdlawyers.com. It's a good reminder of the support available for veterans dealing with various issues.
