Someone explain the logic behind Raithu Bandhu scam

I cannot believe how TRS got away with this scam. I know Nag and Daggubati families are getting so much money from Rythu Bandhu just because they OWN land. They don’t even maintain farms. Basically govt pays you for already being rich. 

At least poor landless folk should get something for their struggles.

In TS there should have been a cap on num of acres for receving money. 

In AP you won't get raitu bharosa easily, aadhar number tho check chestaru banks lo yentha money transactions ayyayi ani ( last 12 months) middle class folks can't meet that criteria. ( specific details telidu )

Yes. There should be cap. However I got a semi convincing explanation from a guy works at a pretty decent level in Government. 

Seems KCR thought process behind every scheme is to avoid beneficiaries from dealing with lower level government employees. If there are restrictions on number of acres, then need some kind of certificate from VRO/MRO on number of cultivatable acres vs not suitable for cultivation etc. He is fine with extending benefits to few rich and make sure no paper work involved.

telangana and Ap come 1973 land ceiling act  and hence no undivided family can own more than 53 acres of agricultural land and hence raithu bandu is capped at 53 acres atmost for an individual even if they work around the policy

commercial lands like ramoji film city who allowed to own more land under a corporation and those are excluded from raithu bandu

my thought- giving for every one is hassle free process as anyone doesn’t has to go through the process of getting approved, instead he could have give everyone who owns agricultural land but put some max limit of amount a single person can get which could have saved 1000’s of crores each year

Why would govt not give money ? The polices are designed by the rich kada . Politicians and rich are the same people .

Whole raithu bandhu scheme sounds like it benefits only the rich. If you have no land, you get no money. If you have too much land via binamis, you get too much money. 

Couldn't Doranna give some better scheme for poor people? Discounted bus passes are pretty good because the poor can travel easier and participate in the economy.

Razanna's arogyashri and fee reimbursements were huge blockbusters for the hearts of the poor.

Yes. I agree. Raithu Bandhu is buying votes with government money by paying a price proportional to your wealth. Instead government can give quality seeds, fertilizers at discount price, better MSP.

I don't feel Arogya Shri is also a good scheme. That money should have been invested in improving government hospitals. BRS did pretty good job in improving govt hospitals.

But landless poor don’t even benefit from Raithu Bandhu. Only pedda bhuswamulu get lots of free govt money. How did opposition not criticize this scam much earlier?

At least the poorest of poor could benefit from Arogyashri. That’s why Razanna has huge craze among those the extremely poor.
