Yes, my google prfoile default is US and I don't want to change it because its connected to multiple subscriptions..

To use Google Pay, you will need to be physically located in India when registering or linking your Google Account on Google Pay, have an Indian bank account and an Indian mobile number.

even if I want to change, Google pay and Google play store doesn't allow you to change your country more than an year..there are so many restrictions in place for you to change the country, your wallet should be minimal, once you change you lose access to some of the apps, subscriptions, impact on youtube, storage etc., and once you switch , to switch back again wait for 12 months..

Manam India number US banks ki, Zelle etc ki vadalemo..

• I am physically in India.
• I have a google account, which I changed the country profile to India just now (It says wait for 48 hrs for this change to reflect) (Note: You can make this change on Google play store only from Android device, not from web, not from iOS)
• I have an apple phone with US number, that is also linked with my ICICI.

Next steps:

• Wait for 48 hrs to re-install google pay in my apple phone.
• Login into GPAY with the account that is now linked to India.
• See if it even shows GPAY option.
• Will check if it accepts US number there?
• IF not, will check if I can add UPI using UPI id??

change the number on your nro account.

install paytm or any other upi app.

activate the upi payments.

But gpay is based on your gmail profile right, how does the india number matter. For me GPAY is not even showing the UPI payment method option, because its US GPAY app..

Gpay is different in India and US , I reinstall  gpay app when in India.
