Scenario :
1. Expired US Visa (Expired more than 2 years)

2. Have Valid I797

3. Airlines : Lufthansa

4. Layover time 4 Hours

5. Travelling NY - > FRA -> HYD

Do I need a transit visa in this scenario ?

What is funny?

If you get sick or you purposely not board next flight and want to stay in Europe then what do they do? As per law you have to be sent back via same route to usa but you don’t have visa.

You don't. You are heading to home country. The question may arise when you are returning to US.
