usual ga 2nd time ki reject chances ekkuva. May be medical reasons will work. Try searching in Immigration threads.

IT should get approved easily. I did my parents extension last year and it was approved.

I think its discretion of the immigration officer. Eventhough the extension is approved this time they will reject the visit visa application next time as the parents didn't obay the visa conditions as per right first time application. This is heppend to my parents in Ireland not sure about US rules.
