He decided against it (allegedly per the advice of CBN) since he could emerge as strong leader in the party and also create a tough (RIGHT) situation in seat sharing with TDP. Isn’t PK banking on the support from Kapus though? He wouldn’t ask for majority seats in specific areas. He wouldn’t switch from Bhimavaram to Pitapuram either. PK is banking on Kapu vote but even if 80% of Kapu’s vote in favor of PK, he won’t be able to win. If you observe PK in the last 2-3 months, his speeches does not figure Kapu appeasement anymore. They need other castes support and with a Kapu Crusader image, it’s hard to win the confidence of other castes. Mudragada will not be entrained by any party openly at this stage. I think it was a trap by YCP. They did reached out to Mudragada. Following this, JSP leaders started Kirlampudi visits and almost finalized Mudragada’s entry to JSP which never materialized. PK is lucky if he gets at least Kapus support after what happened for last few days. He is just immature and not ready to win the support of anyone besides his fans/cadre. He just established himself as a side kick for CBN. YSRCP were sincere to have Mudragada into the party. He asked lot more than the MP/MLA seats offered to him with PK approaching him.
