Not yet, It's just a proposal. In fact my property taxes went down by $50 from last year based on proposed rate (wake county).  I will know the real change in couple of months but still significantly less than many states

no state taxes and good schools offset it. most of the property taxes go to schools and education.  lot of neighbourhoods also have low crime rate. have to factor many things .
